The art of modern times is pretty all about the some kind of escape. Artists seem to be afraid of using methods which were given by their predecessors as example of the ways which should be used in order to achieve artistic values. If we analyze why this is happening, we shall see that this kind of view on art and the artistic techniques is actually some kind of artistic cowardice rather than bravery. I personally believe that pretty much of modern artists, especially in the world of fashion, are just to weak to try to make something unique using the paths which are previously defined by some other artists. It is much easier to put a dog on your head and call it art than try to make something really quality and give some effort while doing that. Of course, not all of those which are seeking the escape from already defined artistic paths are cowards and weak artists, there are indeed some of them which have managed to achieve real escape from the boundaries, and whose works are representing the true 'out of the box' view on the world.
