Future-of-SkateboardingIt is enough to see old videos of how ski-jumpers were jumping about 50 years ago, and you can have a complete image of how the sports are changing as the new technologies are being invented and implemented.
Despite the fact that skateboarding is considered as a pretty new and totally modern sport, we could start to see some significant changes of the way people do this sport because of obvious evolution of the skateboarding equipment.
Here you can see one of the latest efforts to design a perfect futuristic skateboard. This one is called FreeRider SkateCycle and it was designed by Alon Karpman of Brooklyn Workshop and Antonio Meze.

This unique and futuristic skateboard will surely ofer an exciting experience for those who are brave enough to try it. This skateboard has only 2 wheels and unlike the most of today's skateboards, this one provides a much better foot contacts and stability. However, those who like to perform different exhibitions with their skateboards (and it seems that skateboarding is all about the exhibition) they probably will not like this kind of skateboards because it offers a very limited choice of moves.
