Communist Weapons Transformed Into Furniture

This underground, off-the-beaten-path furniture has been recovered from an abandoned Soviet military facility on Naissaar Island in the Gulf of Finland. Before that, it was a favorite port for pirates and smugglers. It’s been a strategic place for many militaristic and industrial endeavors, and now, it’s a mecca for interior design!

Fantastic Series of Furniture Blending Aluminum and Wood

The rough, intentionally rugged concrete skins of Brutalist buildings were meant to record the process by which they were made. The wood plank formwork used to mold the walls imprinted on their surfaces a textured, abrasive quality in a manner that re-infused contemporary architecture with the type of craftsmanship that had been banned at the commencement of the Modernist project. This ‘honest’ expression of building coveted fidelity to the inherent ‘character’ of the material at hand–an aesthetic imperative that could only be upheld through the thoughtful act of physical making. Jordan Eagles Paints With Blood

NYC artist, Jordan Eagles, works solely with gallons upon gallons of blood obtained from a slaughterhouse. By manipulating the blood through heating, burning, aging, mixing with copper, adding foreign materials, and then encasing it in plexiglass and UV resin, Jordan is able to capture an array of organic designs.

Huge-Bubble

Have you ever imagined how it would be if you would be a bacteria and you had a chance to take a ride on a huge bubble? Well, humans do have some reasons to be jealous on bacterias because there are no such big bubbles which would allow humans to ride on them as bacterias do. However, Tomas Saraceno decided to make a bubble from a little bit more solid and stable material than it is usual for bubbles and gave the humans opportunity at least to have a chance to imagine on how it would approximately look like when you are a bacteria riding the bubble. His artistic installation is called Cloud Cities and the visitors are allowed to take a few moments and rest on the bubble.
