Israeli engineer and systems developer Izhar Gafni has designed an innovative bicycle made out of cardboard and recycled car tires. Each bicycle costs only 9 dollars to produce. “The idea is like Japanese origami,” he says in the movie. “You fold it once and then it doesn’t become twice the strength, it’s almost three times the strength. So I took it from there and did the same thing with cardboard.”

Sergey Bobkov an artist aged 53, has created amazing and unique sculptures out of Siberian cedar wood-chips. Sergey has developed his very own technique, that prevents wood-chips from falling apart, in time. After creating about 100-150 chips, from 2-3 inch long cedar stick, he puts them in water for several days. Then, making use of his surgical precision, he carve the chips into any shape he needs. French photographer Clement Briend set off to explore the reality through photography by creating haunting 3D projections on trees of Paris and Cambodia. “I always wanted to photograph the world without it being too faithful to what it is,” says Clement, who is also a photography teacher at the University of Valenciennes.

Jaquet Droz is known for their rich history of creating automata. This time they amaze us with their newest creation, the Bird Repeater. A combination of a minute repeater and an automata of birds feeding three chicks, of which one comes out of an egg, while the water of the stream flows in a continuous cascade. The dial is totally done by hand and is incredibly well-detailed.
