William Castellana is American photographer, based in Williamsburg in Brooklyn, who makes abstract artworks of everyday objects. One of his well-known artworks is photo of crumpled $20 bill where he photographed the side where lays the portrait of Andrew Jackson in black and white technology.
We could say that Castellana's artworks are best examples of how something ordinary can easily become something extraordinary, just by using some special light and shadow effects...

I am big fan of marble machines and similar devices which are based on the idea of perpetual motion. Metropolis II is one of such kind of machines indeed. It is a fantastic kind of marble machine and it is pretty big, too. I have never had an opportunity to experience how it is to be on a ship, especially the pirate-ship. Steve Kuhl is a designer who neither had an opportunity to sail by a pirate-ship, i.e. I hope so he didn't, but this didn't stop him to let his imagination work for him and to convert one part of his home into amazing ship-like environment.
